"Now when they saw him afar off, even before he came near them, they conspired against him to kill him. Then they said to one another, ‘Look, this dreamer is coming!'" Genesis 37: 18,19
Life is only worth living when you can dream. But every dream has a price, which can sometimes be life itself. Despite the risks, do not be afraid to dream. People can kill the dreamer, but not the dream. So, you must keep dreaming, always dreaming. However, it is necessary to roll up our sleeves and enter the field of action. Otherwise, the dream can turn into a nightmare.
Joseph was a dreamer. That is what his brothers called him, among themselves, when they saw him coming. And they plotted against him. The young man had been sent by his father to help them. He brought them help so that they would not die of hunger; instead, they conspired to betray him.
Centuries later, the greatest dreamer in history would come into this world. He would come to bring salvation to the human race, but his "brothers" would conspire against him and betray him.
From a human point of view, perhaps the plotters were worthy of the death penalty. But both Jesus and Joseph interceded for the traitors and offered them salvation.
The betrayal of Joseph's brothers was no mere coincidence. God took advantage of their misdeed to prepare a better future for them. It was the same with Jesus. From eternity the plan of salvation was already prepared. Someone would have to suffer, agonize, and die to save the fallen race.
