PRAISE THE LORD, HALLELUJAH!

«Praise the Lord! Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in His mighty firmament! Praise Him for His mighty acts; praise Him according to His excellent greatness!» Psalm 150: 1, 2

Praise to God is a bright line that stands out throughout the Bible. In heaven Lucifer rose up desiring to snatch away for himself the praise that belonged to God alone, and he failed. When Jesus began his ministry on this Earth, Lucifer, disguised as an angel of light, came, and told him to worship him in exchange for all the riches of the world, and again he failed.

Throughout Scripture, you will perceive that there is a cosmic and spiritual conflict between Christ and Satan. The reason for this conflict is praise and obedience. You obey whom you praise and praise whom you obey.

The psalmist today invites us to praise God here and there, for this and for that. The essence of the message is that there is no specific place for worship, that praise is not limited to time or space, and that there are many reasons for worship.

You can make your heart a temple. Paul says that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Every beat of your heart can be a note of praise, acknowledging the grandeur of His works and the immensity of His love.

Sin tried to separate us from God and destroy His image in us, but His mercy provided salvation and so one day the redeemed will sing, “You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created” (Revelation 4:11).

Take Action

Make your whole life today a sanctuary of worship and praise to God. Sing “Praise the Lord” (if possible, with your family).
