JESUS GIVES YOU A MISSION

«And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’ Amen.» Matthew 28: 18-20

Have you ever waited for someone, doing nothing? If the person you are waiting for is late, you get upset, and constantly look at the clock, you pick up your cell phone and ask them to send you their location in real time.

But for our meeting with Christ, none of this works. He gave you the signs of His coming, and for you not to get discouraged or in despair while He does not arrive, He entrusted you with a mission. He told His disciples that instead of being nervous constantly looking at the clock of prophecies, they should spend their time and energy making other disciples. The command was “Go.” To go, you first need to get up and walk. No one can go while lying in bed or sitting in a church pew. The church is like a gas station where you fill up the tank to keep going. You go to church to worship God, to fellowship with your brothers and sisters, and to receive the inspiration you need to continue fulfilling your mission. The church is not a religious club, but a place of inspiration to go out and make other disciples.

Go and accomplish the mission! The One who entrusted this mission to you also gave you the power to do the work. Go and fulfill the mission, baptizing and teaching people to walk with Jesus by following His teachings. You are not alone. Jesus is with you. Every day, until the end of the world.

Take Action

Put your life in God’s hands and say to Him: “Lord, I am here, I want to be an instrument in Your hands to tell those who do not yet know You that You love them and are coming soon to take them with You.” Sing “Go and Make Disciples” (if possible, with your family).
