THE MYSTERY OF JESUS, THE CREATOR GOD WHO BECAME MAN

"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth." John 1: 14

Human beings were lost and condemned to their sad fate of death. It was a rugged path that they had chosen. A path of rebellion, pain, and sadness. The universe watched the tragedy of people enslaved by their own instincts.

Men and women who hurt each other are drowned in their selfishness, and make themselves suffer without understanding the reason for their absurd behavior.

And God decided to save them. He had decided this before the foundation of the world. The eternal Word existed when the times were not yet numbered. The Creator who was before the beginning of all creations became flesh and came into this world of sin and misery. This is the good news of the gospel. It was not we who sought God, despite our dire situation. It was the Lord who left everything in the kingdom of heaven and came to seek and save what had been lost.

He walked among the men and women of His day, reflecting grace and truth in His life. In Christ, there were no ambiguous terms or half-truths. There was no shadow, nor mixture of darkness in His words. He called sin by its proper name. He did not consider human rebellion something frivolous. What needed to be said, He said it but gracefully. Although He was cheerful, there was nothing in His life that would motivate superficial and cheap laughter. It was a grace of understanding, mercy, and love, bringing hope and peace to desperate hearts.

Take Action

God incarnate... because of you. If you fall prey to low self-esteem, remember that Jesus would not have become flesh if you were not valuable. It does not matter what others think of you or your past mistakes. Raise your eyes to heaven and thank Him for such great love. And do it now! Sing "And the Word Was God" (if possible, with your family).
