How Everything Started

«In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.» Genesis 1:1

Do you like to play with modeling dough? The world was like a huge shapeless play dough. There was nothing in it. There was only darkness all around.
Then God planned to turn the giant, ugly, dark mass into a beautiful place! He said, “Let there be light!” And the first day came, bringing lightness to the darkness around the great formless mass.

The next day, God separated the sky from the big formless mass. Part of it we see when we look up and when we travel by plane. On the third day, God separated the water from the earth and made all the plants, from the smallest ones to the large, tall trees. And on the fourth day, God created the sun to light up the day, and the moon and stars to shine at night.

Now it was time for the animals! God created the birds and the fish on the fifth day. And on the sixth day, He created the animals that walk and crawl on the earth.
Everything God made was perfect and beautiful so that you and I could live happily!

Let’s practice!

Choose one day of creation and draw what God created on that day.
