The first people

«So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.» Genesis 1:27

God is kind and wise and prepared a beautiful world, with gardens full of fragrant and colorful flowers, trees with delicious fruits, animals that fly, animals that walk and crawl and animals that swim in rivers and seas.

After the world was ready God finally created man, and then woman. To create all other things, God used words: “Let there be.” He said “Let there be light;” “let there be a firmament;” “let it divide the waters from the waters.” But to create the first man, God used His hands and molded with clay a beautiful doll. Then He breathed into its nostrils, and it became a beautiful living being.

The first man was called Adam. When he saw that all the animals had a mate, he missed having one too. And God created Eve, also with His hands, from Adam’s rib. God created Adam and Eve to be companions and to take care of each other. Not so that one would fight against the other or be better than the other. They would start a beautiful and happy family. And the whole world would be happy!

Are all the families that you know happy?

Let’s practice!

Why don’t you memorize what God created for Adam and Eve on each day of the week?
