Being Thankful

«Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him; Talk of all His wondrous works!» 1 Chronicles 16:9

David had the gift of music. As a young boy, while tending his father’s sheep, he composed songs and played them on his harp.

When he became a handsome young man, and King Saul had moments of great despair, he would call him to play his harp and sing.

Now the moment was special. He had become the king and had finally managed to bring the ark to Jerusalem, following divine directions.

As soon as it was placed in the tent that had been especially prepared for it, many sacrifices and burnt offerings were offered to God, and there was a great celebration!

Then David gave the chief of the musicians a psalm for the Lord to be praised. It is written in 1 Chronicles 16:8-36. He had many reasons to thank God!

Let’s practice!

Why don’t you read this praise of David with your mom?
