«Be strong.» 2 Chronicles 15:7
Do you remember the covenant that God made with Solomon when the temple was built? The people of Israel were supposed to be obedient to receive God’s promises.
But the Israelites didn’t keep their part of the covenant. Because of this, they were
always in trouble.
Asa was the new king of Israel. God had already given him victory against the Ethiopians who had come to attack him. But Asa was worried that there was too much sin in the kingdom. God couldn’t bless them if this continued.
So, a prophet came to him to encourage and guide him.
The prophet reminded him of the covenant made by God and told the king that if they were humble and repented, they would have divine protection. “Be strong. Don’t be discouraged by the attacks of the enemies because if you do your part, you will be rewarded!”
The king made a spiritual reformation in the kingdom. And God blessed him and the people.
Let’s practice!
God also wants to bless you. What have you been doing for Jesus?
