«For I know that my Redeemer lives, and He shall stand at last on the earth; and after my skin is destroyed, this I know, that in my flesh I shall see God.» Job 19:25-26
Job was tired of hearing the things that his false friends said. They talked and talked. Job tried to explain, but they didn’t care. Job begged them to stop accusing him. He had done nothing wrong.
Job was getting sicker and sicker. He had lost a lot of weight and had become very ugly, so ugly that people walked past him and turned away from him out of fear and embarrassment. All his friends had moved away from him. He felt alone and abandoned.
Even though he moaned and cried from so much pain and sadness, Job told those three men that he would continue to believe and trust in God, because God knew everything. One day all his pain and suffering would end, and things would be all right.
Let’s practice!
Repeat the verse: “For I know that my Redeemer lives, and that He will stand at last on the earth” (Job 19:25).
