«Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to depart from evil is understanding. » Job 28:28
Job scratched the sores on his feet. Then the wounds on his legs and arms also began to itch. Job cried be-cause it hurt and there was no use in rubbing them, the itching wouldn’t go away. His head started to itch too.
Finally, Job felt a little relief. And he said: “Everything for me is going really bad!” Then he took a very deep breath and looked up at the sky. He was sure that God wasn’t sitting idly by doing nothing. After all, He is the Creator of everything. Job began to tell the three men who came to see him about the precious stones created by God: gold, silver, sapphire, ruby, topaz... It is God who makes the rivers flow from the rocks. God knows much more than men. He sees everything from the beginning to the end.
Satan was watching, scared. Why didn’t Job curse God? He was sure that Job was going to curse God, but he did not. Would God show up to explain to Job everything that was happening?
Let’s practice!
