«Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth? Tell Me, if you have understanding.» Job 38:4
At the right moment, from the middle of a whirlwind, God spoke to Job: “Job, you are an intelligent man, aren’t you? I’m going to ask you some questions. See if you can answer Me, okay?”
Suddenly, God started asking some very difficult questions. “Job, where were you when I created the world? Who told the sea that its waves should only go as far as the beach? Where do light and darkness live? What do you understand about constellations, like the Ursa? Is it you, Job, who hunts for food for the lioness and her cubs? Who feeds the eagles?”
In other words, this is what God was saying to Job: “My son Job, I know you are suffering greatly, but don’t worry! I have all the power in the world and only I can turn all your sorrow into joy. Trust in Me!”
Hearing those words from God was a relief for Job!
Let’s practice!
Tonight, look at the sky with your mom or dad and count as many stars as you can.
