He Who Trusts In God Is Happy

«I will praise the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.» Psalm 34:1

On several occasions, David faced dangers. David was a man loved by God and loved by the people. King Saul was jealous of David because he wasn’t as loved.

One day King Saul began to chase David, and at one point he threw a spear at him. The spear hit the wall. David was frightened and had to flee. Poor David! What had he done wrong?

Many times, David cried out to God to deliver him, and God answered him many times! David trusted in God!

Each time David was delivered, he praised God. Sometimes he composed a song to celebrate the deliverance. Psalm 34 is a praise of deliverance. David was sure that once again God had sent His angels to deliver him. This made him happy!

Let’s practice!

Why don’t you memorize this verse? “The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him and delivers them” (Psalm 34:7).
