«And He said, “Let Me go, for the day breaks.” But he said, “I will not let You go unless You bless me!”» Genesis 32:26
Many years passed. Jacob got married, had children, worked hard, and became rich.
One day, he decided to return to his land. He packed his and his family’s belongings, and with them, began the journey that would last many days. Back then there were no cars like today.
When Esau heard about this, he assembled a large army to fight against Jacob.
Jacob was afraid! His sadness about having deceived his father and brother came back. At night he distanced himself from the group and stood alone, weeping, and again asking forgiveness for his mistake.
Suddenly he felt that someone was fighting with him. It was dark and he couldn’t see anything. He fought with all his strength, but the man was very strong!
It was almost daylight when Jacob discovered that he was wrestling with an angel!
Jacob clung to Him and didn’t let go until he was sure that he was forgiven! And God forgave him! What joy and peace he felt!
Let’s practice!
Draw the angel who wrestled with Jacob.
