«Those who sow in tears shall reap with shouts of joy.» Psalm 126:5 (ESV)
Have you ever planted a little seed? What did you plant? Beans? Tomatoes? Some kind of fruit? Isn’t it nice to see a little sprout coming out, very tiny, then growing and getting bigger? Then little leaves begin to take shape. Time goes by and the little plant grows!
I really like to plant seeds. I have already planted lemon, blackberry, peach, tangerine, and other fruit seeds. How nice it is to see the flowers coming out and then the little fruits appearing!
A farmer or sower is the person who works on the plantation. His work is exhausting. Sometimes he works under the hot sun, and his arms and back become sore. But after a while, he experiences a lot of joy when his crops begin to produce! He is so happy that he forgets all his tiredness!
Those who spread the Word of God are like sowers. Sometimes they are mocked and criticized. But they are very happy when they see people coming to Jesus as a result of their work!
Let’s practice!
Prepare a nice card and a book about Jesus to take to a neighbor. You can be a sower too!
