Children Don’t Know Everything

«Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.» Proverbs 3:5

I’ve seen children who don’t like it when their mom or dad try to teach them something. They just keep repeating: “I know! I already know everything!” It’s great to be an active child who likes to put what they know into practice, who is curious and likes to discover things. But children don’t know everything! Even adults don’t know everything.

Children need to trust their parents. Sometimes your mom says “no.” She knows what is best for her children. Sometimes your dad says “no” because he loves his children.

This is why Solomon gave the advice: Trust in the Lord and don’t think that you know everything and don’t need God. If you trust in God, He will help you to see better where you are going, and you won’t fall in the potholes along the way.

That’s wise advice, isn’t it?

Let’s practice!

Memorize the verse: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding” (Proverbs 3:5).
