«Can a man take fire to his bosom, and his clothes not be burned?» Proverbs 6:27
Have you ever heard your dad say: “Boy, be careful with the fire!” “Girl, don’t play with fire!?” You know why adults say this, don’t you? Fire burns. It is dangerous to play with fire!
Playing with fire can mean messing with anything dangerous: in addition to a real fire, it can mean messing with a knife, with poisonous products, playing with dangerous animals.
When Solomon gave this advice, he was saying that young people need to listen to the advice of their parents, such as before getting a girlfriend. There are women who approach young men, but only to steal their money and make their lives miserable.
Before falling in love with a young woman, the young man needs to know if she is a woman of God, then he will be happy. If he chooses any woman, he will be playing with fire.
Let’s practice!
Draw a boy crying because he burned himself while playing with fire.
