«Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might.» Ecclesiastes 9:10
What do you like to do the most? Run? Play ball? Draw? Swim? I like to run and write.
God gave talents to every person, but they should not be used to show off in front of others nor to say: “Look how good I am at doing this!” We should honor God with our talents, and this means always remembering that they came from God and not from us.
God didn’t give us these talents forever. One day we will die, and they will no longer be of any use. That is why we should take advantage of each day to use our talents in the best possible way. Whatever you like to do, do well!
But you know what? There are some things that we don’t like to do very much, such as making the bed, putting away the dishes, cleaning our shoes... I don’t know what you don’t like to do, but sometimes we need to do them anyway. So, they should also be done in the best way possible, with care and dedication, as if you were doing them for Jesus. He will bless what you are doing!
Let’s practice!
Pray: “Dear God, help me to do everything I have to do to the best of my ability. In Jesus’s name, amen!”
