«Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.» Isaiah 6:8
Many years ago, there was a very special man named Isaiah. He loved God and obeyed Him. Isaiah lived in the period of some kings. With sadness he saw the enemy invasions that destroyed his country.
Once, Isaiah had a vision. God was sitting on His throne. He was wearing a very long robe. Many angels were flying above Him saying: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory.”
When he saw this, Isaiah felt afraid, because he felt very small before the greatness and holiness of God. How could he be in God’s presence?
Then one of the angels flew to him with a burning coal that he had taken from God’s altar and touched Isaiah’s lips. This meant that God was forgiving all of Isaiah’s sins. God was calling him to speak of Him to the people.
Do you know what Isaiah replied? He said: “I accept, Lord; you can send me!”
Let’s practice!
To whom would you like to talk about Jesus today? Pray to Jesus, saying: “Dear Jesus, help me to also accept speaking about Your love to my friends, amen!”
