«But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.» Isaiah 40:31
God’s friends in the past, and today too, sometimes suffer, sometimes feel fear, sometimes weep. But they can hope in the Lord. That means trusting in God.
The prophet Isaiah, inspired by God, said: “If we trust in God, we will be strong like the eagle.”
Have you ever seen an eagle? It is a big and beautiful bird. It is not afraid to fly alone and flies very high because its wings are strong.
Eagles have excellent eyesight to see their food from above. They are not afraid when they see storms coming, and they fly anyway. Even when they get old, they are still strong.
You can also be strong like the eagle if you always walk with Jesus.
Let’s practice!
Repeat the verse: “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint” (Isaiah 40:31).
