«So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.» Ezekiel 22:30
Have you ever seen a broken wall? Walls are important to protect a house or a property from animals or thieves. When the wall is broken, it must be repaired. God’s Word is like a wall that protects us from doing wrong things that will bring us sorrow.
The kingdom of Judah had been invaded by the Babylonians. And three times, Nebuchadnezzar took many Jews captive to Babylon.
In the exile, the prophet Ezekiel was giving God’s messages to the people, but the people were turning their backs on God. They were following Babylonian customs that God hated. God needed someone to repair the walls. In other words, He needed someone to defend the Word of God. But, how sad, there was no one!
Let’s practice!
Draw a broken wall and pray with your mom, asking Jesus to help you be a repairman of the wall!
