The King’s Dream

«I thank You and praise You, O God of my fathers; You have given me wisdom and might, and have now made known to me what we asked of You, for You have made known to us the king’s demand.» Daniel 2:23

Daniel was one of the boys from Judah who had been taken captive to the court of Babylon in one of the invasions of Jerusalem. He loved God very much and was faithful to Him.

One day, King Nebuchadnezzar was distressed. He had dreamed about something very strange but could not remember what it was. The king called his wise men to guess his dream and tell him what it meant. But they could not.

Very angry, the king ordered to kill all of them. When Daniel learned about this, he asked to speak to the king: “O king, I will pray to my God and He will show me your dream and its meaning.”

The king decided not to kill his wise men. Daniel prayed and God showed him the dream and its meaning, and he told it to the king. Daniel praised God for answering his prayer!

Let’s practice!

Do you have a special request to make to God? Pray about it with your mom. God is wise and will answer according to what is best.
