«Should not shepherds feed the flocks?» Ezekiel 34:2
Have you ever seen a shepherd tending his sheep? He must watch out for any that might run away from the flock and get lost. He takes his sheep to drink fresh water and eat green pasture.
If the sheep are near a field or a large forest, there may be wild animals. Then the shepherd needs to scare those animals away so that they don’t attack the flock.
God compares the leaders of His people to shepherds of sheep. These shepherds of people need to be kind and faithful, and teach the flock to walk in God’s ways.
However, there are shepherds who do not care for their sheep, they don’t pay attention to them, they don’t pray with them.
One day, God will tell these shepherds that they were too careless toward their sheep and that in Heaven there will be no place for them.
Let’s practice!
Draw a picture of a shepherd caring for his sheep and give it to your pastor as a gift.
