Walking through the Middle of the Sea

«Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided.» Exodus 14:21

Is it possible to walk through the middle of the sea? If it’s deep, it’s not possible, right?

What if, suddenly, a road appears right in the middle of the sea and the waters turn into walls beside this road? Well, only God could do that, couldn’t He?

And that’s exactly what he did!

Do you remember that God called Moses to bring the people out of Egypt? They walked through the desert until they came to a place surrounded by mountains and a sea in front of them.

Then someone shouted full of fear, “The Egyptians are coming!” They had no way to escape!

Moses prayed and told the people to trust God and keep walking toward the sea.

They obeyed. A very strong wind blew and pushed the waters, opening a path in the middle of the sea and forming high walls.

The people crossed the path opened by God in the middle of the sea and everyone arrived to the other side. What about the enemies? They all drowned in the sea.

Let’s practice!

Talk with your mom and dad about the things you are afraid of. Pray that God will give you the same courage the Hebrews had.
