«If you have faith as a mustard seed [...] nothing will be impossible for you.» Matthew 17:20
Have you ever seen a mustard seed? It is not the smallest seed there is, but it is very tiny. A full-grown mustard plant can reach almost three meters (almost 10 feet). This is almost the height of a house. There are different kinds of mustard: black, brown and white or yellow. There are countries where this seed has been used for hundreds and hundreds of years.
Some people use it as medicine and to disinfect their hands. The seeds are also used to make tasty recipes and spices.
Jesus used the mustard seed to compare it to the size of faith. He said: “Even if your faith is as small as a mustard seed, great things can happen.”
If you are a friend of Jesus, He will help you to have more faith every day.
Let’s practice!
Draw a mustard seed and repeat the verse: “If you have faith as a mustard seed [...] nothing will be impossible for you” (Matthew 17:20).
