Jesus Gives A Task

«Go therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.» Matthew 28:19 (ESV)

When Jesus was here on earth, He taught many things and left an important task for His disciples.

The disciples of Jesus were those twelve men who followed Him while He was here. The task was to go all over the world to tell His story. What story? Ah, the story of the creation of the world, of how sin started and how Satan wants to destroy everything that God created and His children. God wants the whole world to know how much He loves everyone and how He wants everyone to be with Him in Heaven.

The disciples were to teach all the things they had learned from Him and make new disciples.

They accomplished the task that God gave them, and that task is now ours. Jesus also expects us to tell this story to everyone we meet. Have you ever told a friend about Jesus?

Let’s practice!

Choose a book about Jesus to give as a gift to someone who doesn’t know about His love yet: it can be an adult or a child.
