«For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.» John 3:16
When did Jesus decide to come to the world to die? Before the world was even created. That’s right! Before Adam and Eve existed, Jesus (who is the Son), God (who is the Father) and the Holy Spirit had already agreed to this.
They would create man to be free. He would not be obligated to love God. If he disobeyed, he would have to pay with eternal death because obedience to God and His law is very important for his protection. But God wouldn’t allow man to die forever. Jesus would come to pay this punishment.
How great is God’s love? His love has no size! He loves us, so, so much! That is why He made this huge sacrifice, offering His life for us!
Jesus doesn’t want anyone to be lost! Not one single person! Even with so much love to offer, there are people who don’t want His love. They don’t want to go to Heaven. How sad!
Let’s practice!
Memorize this verse: “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
