The Good Shepherd

«I am the good shepherd. I know my own and am own know me.» John 10:14 (ESV)

Have you ever seen a flock of sheep? The ram is a male sheep. And its offspring is the lamb. Sheep are gregarious animals: this means that they like to be in groups, not alone. They are also sensitive and intelligent.

In England, scientists researched and discovered that sheep express emotions just like humans. So, if they are happy, sad, or stressed, you can tell. They are so cute!

Jesus compares His children to sheep. You are a little lamb of Jesus. And He is our good Shepherd. He is concerned when people try to teach lies to His sheep. He calls such people dangerous wolves and thieves.

To be safe from dangerous wolves and thieves, we must always stay close to the Good Shepherd!

Let’s practice!

Draw a picture of a shepherd caring for his sheep.
