«For I have not shunned to declare to you the whole counsel of God.» Acts 20:27
Paul, who had once persecuted people who were friends with Jesus, was now a faithful preacher! He began to travel through various cities telling everyone who wasn’t a Jew about Jesus. He went from city to city looking for church leaders, and he guided, encouraged and prayed with all of them.
In Jerusalem, temple leaders held meetings to plan to arrest and kill him. But Paul was not afraid.
Paul was not worried about his life. Jesus didn’t mind leaving Heaven to come to the world to live like us, to suffer and be killed. Paul wanted to be like Jesus. What mattered the most was to do what Jesus had done. He was sure that God would give him a gift one day: Heaven! So, he would keep talking about Jesus even if his enemies hated him! There were still many people who needed to hear about the love of Jesus!
Let’s practice!
Repeat the verse: “For I have not shunned to declare to you the whole counsel of God” (Acts 20:27).
