«If now I have found grace in Your sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray, go among us, even though we are a stiff-necked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us as Your inheritance.» Exodus 34:9
Moses is called the meekest man on earth. Do you know why? He had a lot of patience to take care of the people of Israel.
The people complained about everything! Any problem they could think of, they whined and moaned: “Oh, I don't want to keep walking! I want to go back to Egypt!” “I want to eat the food from Egypt!” “Oh, Moses, you can’t take care of us!” “This sun is too hot.” “We want to eat meat!”
God never allowed the people to not have water or food. A cloud protected them from the sun during the day and it became a pillar of fire that warmed them at night.
But the people kept on complaining. One day, when Moses came down from the mountain carrying the tablets with the ten commandments, he found the people having a party around a golden calf.
Let’s practice!
Have you ever disobeyed mom and dad? Did you ask for forgiveness? Have they forgiven you?
