«Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.» Romans 12:2 (ESV)
After Satan brought sin to the world, people became deformed. Do you know what this means? God had created them perfect, but now they were no longer like that. They were changed for the worse. Do you know how? They used to be kind, loving, patient, unselfish, and then they became mean, unloving, impatient, quarrelsome and selfish.
But God says: “My little children, you are deformed! I want you to return to your original shape. If you walk with me every day, you will change the way you think, feel and act! I want to help you do that, because all I want is for you to experience My will! My will is good and pleasing and perfect!”
There are people who accept being transformed the way God wants, and He is helping those people. Did you know that there are thieves, murderers and other bad people who have been transformed into kind and loving people?
But there are people who don’t accept to be transformed by God and are still evil. What a pity, isn’t it?
Let’s practice!
Repeat the verse: “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect” (Romans 12:2, ESV).
