«Who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble.» 2 Corinthians 1:4
When you fell and got hurt, did you sit on the lap of your dad, mom, or grandma? Did they dry your tears with a tissue and hug you? Did they put medicine on your knee?
Sitting on a person’s lap feels so good, doesn’t it? It feels so good to be comforted and have the pain go away.
God sent the Holy Spirit to comfort us too. He accompanies us and helps us to talk to Jesus, because sometimes we can’t even talk to Jesus properly.
Do you know what else the Holy Spirit does? He helps you become stronger. And then, when you see someone crying, you can be loving, comfort that person and tell them that everything is going to be okay.
Let’s practice!
Have you seen a friend who is sad? What would you like to do to make him or her happy?
