A Thorn On The Finger

«For my strength is made perfect in weakness.» 2 Corinthians 12:9

Have you ever had a thorn on your finger? Did it hurt? Did you get it out?

Once, the apostle Paul said that something made him suffer as if he had a thorn piercing his body every day. I don’t know what he had. But he asked God many times to deliver him from this pain.

Do you know what God answered? “Paul, my dear son, I have already forgiven you for persecuting my friends in the past, I have already promised you eternal life in Heaven. That’s good enough! For now, you will continue with your problem so that you don’t think you are too good, and so you always remember that I am the One who makes everything that is good happen to you. You are not responsible for those things.”

Then Paul said: “Okay, Lord! The Lord knows what’s best.”

No one needs to have a lot of money, be famous, or study hard to do God’s work and tell others about Jesus. You just need to want and ask God for help to do it. He is the one who does the work!

Let’s practice!

What would you like to do for Jesus? Tell your mom.
