The Fruit Of The Spirit

«But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.» Galatians 5:22-23

Do you like to eat oranges? Have you ever noticed that it is divided into segments? Each segment tastes like an orange, but it is not a whole orange: it’s only a part of it.

In the same way, God wants us to produce the fruit of the Spirit. The fruit of the Spirit includes a list of virtues that His children will produce: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

It isn’t enough just to be cheerful, and then be impatient, quarrelsome and selfish. The fruit of the Spirit has nine segments. Therefore, we need to ask the Holy Spirit every day to live upon us. Only then will we have all His virtues.

What is more difficult for you? Knowing how to control yourself in times of anger? It may be difficult, but it is not impossible. All people who have the Holy Spirit can control themselves even when it’s very difficult.

Do you wish to be more joyful? Do you wish to love more, to have more peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control?

Let’s practice!

Pray: “Dear God, I want to have all the attributes of the fruit of the Spirit. Please, help me! In Jesus’ name, amen!”
