«In all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works.» Titus 2:7
Paul had some important co-workers. Do you remember Timothy? Titus was another very dear helper of Paul and one of the most important leaders when the church of Jesus was still beginning. Paul trusted him very much.
Paul was already an old man, and Titus was still a young pastor. Paul gave him some advice. Titus should teach only the Word of God to everyone: to the elderly, men, women, youth, adolescents and children.
Titus should be an example in everything before preaching. He should not say one thing and do another. He should be well-behaved and use kind words, not bad or ugly words. People listening to him should see Jesus in him. And people would want to know Jesus and be like Him.
Jesus also invites you to be an example to your friends, so that they will see Jesus in you and want to be like Him.
Let’s practice!
Repeat the verse: “In all things showing to be a pattern of good works” (Titus 2:7).
