«God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son.» Hebrews 1:1
Before there was sin in the world, Adam and Eve talked daily with their Creator. God visited them. However, disobedience brought separation between God and man. It was no longer possible to see God.
God promised that one day He would send Jesus to the world so that we could have a connection with Heaven again. While Jesus didn’t come, people offered sacrifices by killing a sheep or other animals, which represented the death of Jesus.
One way God speaks to us is through nature. When we see the beautiful and loving animals that make us so happy, the beautiful and fragrant flowers, the tall and beautiful trees, the sun, the rain, the hills, the seas, the green grass—all this shows us God’s love, glory and power.
God also speaks to us through the Bible, the Word of God. For a long time, nothing was written down. Children heard the story of creation and sin from their parents. Moses was the first writer of the Bible. It took sixteen hundred years, from Moses to John, the author of the last book, for the Bible to be written.
But the most perfect way in which God speaks to us took place with the coming of Jesus to the world as a baby. Satan had disturbed the way we understand God. So God Himself came to undo this mistake by showing everyone His love.
Let’s practice!
God reveals Himself through nature. Draw what you admire the most in nature.
