«For whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.» Hebrews 11:6
Do you have a favorite hero? There are many heroes that were invented by men, some are very fast and strong. Their clothes are different. We all have people that we admire because they have a special quality or ability.
What does the word “hero” mean? It means someone who stands out because of his or her spirit, virtues, or incredible actions.
Did you know that in the Bible there are many heroes? Yes, they were very brave and had great faith. What did they do? They had faith in God when they were suffering, when they didn’t know what to do, or when they were in a dangerous situation. Let’s recall some of them?
Enoch went to Heaven because he chose to be different from the wicked men that surrounded him. By faith, Noah built a huge boat while people mocked him. By faith, Abraham left his land to go to a place he didn’t know. By faith, Moses left the palace and led the Hebrews, who were captive, out of Egypt, then he led the people through the desert until they were near Canaan.
By faith, Daniel’s friends were put in the furnace and Daniel was thrown in the lions’ den. By faith, Isaiah was cut in half, John was beheaded. These heroes did so many things!
Do you also want to be a hero of faith?
Let’s practice!
Who is your favorite hero of faith? Talk about him.
