«Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.» Revelation 3:20
Have you ever had someone knocking at your door? Was it a friend calling you to play? Was it the mailman? Was it your grandma and grandpa bringing you a present?
There is Someone very special who also knocks on our door. Do you know who it is? Jesus. He does not knock at the door of our house, but at the door of our heart. He strongly desires that you hear His voice and believe in His love and in His promises.
Your friendship with Jesus is as if He were a special guest for dinner.
When John wrote that Jesus is knocking on the door of our hearts, he was speaking to a group of people who had forgotten Jesus and no longer cared about Him. They needed to repent for the wrong things they were doing, or they would lose heaven.
Jesus is knocking on your little heart too. Will you open the door for Him?
Let’s practice!
Draw the door of your heart open.
