The Seals Of God

«Now I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals; and I heard one of the four living creatures.» Revelation 6:1

Revelation is the last book of the Bible. God gave visions to John, the beloved disciple, while he was imprisoned on a desert island. These visions showed everything that would happen in the world until Jesus returns.

God showed this to John so that he would write it down and we would all read God’s Word to know the time in which we are living and be prepared for His return.

John wrote the history of the church of Jesus in seven periods through which it would pass. Each period was called a seal and in most of them God makes a call for us to be true friends of Jesus and prepare to be in Heaven.

The first seal tells the story of the church at the time of the apostles. It was a difficult time for Christians, but many people gave themselves to Jesus.

John goes on to talk about the other seals or parts of history in which believers suffered many persecutions, were imprisoned, hurt and killed because they refused to disobey God.

We are in the period of the sixth seal, when Jesus is about to return, and many who call themselves Christians don’t care to be friends with Jesus, nor to obey Him. They only pretend to love Him.

We are waiting for the seventh and last seal, which is when Jesus returns.

Let’s practice!

Pray: “Dear God, Jesus is coming soon, and I want to be ready! Help me! In Jesus’ name, amen!”
