«He had a little book open in his hand.» Revelation 10:2
John, the beloved disciple, saw the Almighty Jesus with a very important little book in His hand. This book showed very serious things that would happen when the world was nearing its end.
Do you remember Daniel, who was thrown into the lions’ den? He was also a prophet of God and received visions about the end times.
The little book that John saw was about the book of the prophet Daniel. It showed how Jesus came to the world as the little lamb that was sacrificed. After His return to Heaven, His story started being told to the world.
In Heaven, Jesus began the work of reviewing who each of His children, since Adam, had chosen: Jesus or Satan. Here on earth, many who loved Him thought He would come back for them, but He didn’t come. They were so disappointed! They cried very much! That crying was supposed to make them strong because God had a job for them. The world had put aside God’s law and preparing for Heaven. They needed to remind the people about this!
The people who would tell this story would be called Seventh-day Adventists. They would build schools, hospitals, churches and publishing houses, and spread the story of Jesus and His return all over the world.
Let’s practice!
Ask your mom what it means to be a Seventh-day Adventist.
