Crash! Thud! The Walls Came Down!

«And it happened when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat.» Joshua 6:20

Forty years of wandering in the wilderness passed, and finally the people entered the new land. But before them stood the great walled city of Jericho.

Giants lived there!

Joshua ordered the men to march around the city, following the ark carried by the priests. So the people did that for seven days.

The warriors of Jericho found this very strange.

On the seventh day, things happened differently. After going around, the soldiers and priests of Israel continued to circle the city. One, two, three, four, five, six times. When the Israeli soldiers took the last turn, in addition to the trumpets a loud noise was heard. It was the screams of the marching soldiers.

Then there was a tremor and the strong stone walls began to fall. And Israel conquered the strong city of Jericho!

Let’s practice!

Was it the shouts of the soldiers that brought down the walls? Talk about it with your mom… What other miracles does God perform in your life every day?
