David’s Sin

«Set Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle, and retreat from him, that he may be struck down and die. » 2 Samuel 11:15

King David was greatly loved by God. If he was always humble and obedient, God would give him many victories. But something very serious happened. It started when David began to feel too important and better than others. Satan took advantage of David’s feelings and tempted him even more.

David was already married, but he fell in love with a beautiful woman, Bathsheba. She was the wife of a brave soldier. The two of them had a hidden meeting and she was left expecting a baby boy. Now what? The whole kingdom would hear about it, and it would be a shame for the king.

In desperation, David requested for Bathsheba’s husband Uriah to be placed in a dangerous position in battle, and he was killed.

How sad! David sinned with Bathsheba and now had become a murderer! Do you think he regretted his decision?

Let’s practice!

Have you ever thought you were better than others? Whenever you have this temptation, ask Jesus for forgiveness and Satan will have no room in your heart.
