«And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire, all around Elisha.» 2 Kings 6:17
The king of Syria was pursuing war against Israel. But every time he decided to attack, the king of Israel was already prepared. The Syrian king was angry! Who could be the betrayer among them who told his plans to the enemies?
He learned that in Israel there was a prophet of God. Whatever the king said, even in secret, he knew and would tell the king.
The king ordered his soldiers to arrest prophet Elisha. At night, troops, horses and chariots surrounded the city of Samaria.
When Elisha’s servant saw them, he was very afraid and went to warn him. Elisha calmly said: “Do not be afraid, for more are those who are with us than those who are with them!” He prayed asking God to open the eyes of the servant.
Then the servant saw horses and chariots of fire surrounding Elisha! It was the army of Heaven!
Let’s practice!
God protected Elisha from his enemies! Are you afraid to sleep alone? Ask Jesus to make you feel that there are many angels watching over you too!
