«And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel. » Genesis 3:15
Did you know that God's first promise is in the very first book of the Bible? In Genesis 3:15, after Adam and Eve disobeyed God, He made an incredible promise: “And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel.” Did you pay attention? Someone born of a woman would crush the serpent's head. This promise pointed to the future, to the coming of Jesus.
From the beginning, when evil entered the world, God already had a plan to save us. He promised that Jesus would come to deliver us from sin and the influence of evil. And guess what? God has fulfilled that promise! Jesus came into our world, lived, died, and rose again, and although evil still exists in our world, Jesus' ultimate victory is assured.
This promise shows us that we can and should continue to trust in God's Word. Just as He fulfilled the promise to send Jesus, He will fulfill all the other promises in the Bible. God is faithful and always fulfills what He promises!
