«Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.” » Genesis 18: 14
“Is there anything too hard for the Lord?” This question was asked of Abraham when God promised that his elderly wife Sarah would have a son. It seemed impossible, but for God, there are no limits!
In the Bible, we see many examples of God doing the impossible. He parted the Red Sea for Moses and the people of Israel to pass through, a path forming in the midst of the waters. Joshua saw the walls of Jericho fall down with the sound of trumpets and shouts. Daniel was thrown into the lions' den and came out unharmed, for God shut the lions' mouths. Jonah, after being swallowed by a great fish, was saved and used by God for a great mission. And the greatest miracle of all: Jesus rose from the dead!
These incredible examples show us that God is the God of the impossible. And there is more good news: He's still the same! He keeps working! He can do unimaginable things in our lives if we believe in Him. When we face challenges that seem too great, we can remember that God has the power to change any situation. Even the ones that seem impossible.
Take Action
With your family or friends, choose a task that seems difficult but not impossible, such as building a small bridge with cards or solving a challenging puzzle. As you work together on the task, talk about how sometimes we face challenges that seem impossible, but with faith and trust in God, we can overcome any obstacle.
