«I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works. I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.» Psalm 9: 1,2
God has done many wonders in your life and in the lives of your entire family. Have you ever stopped to think about it? Have you ever stopped to think about all the amazing things God has done for you? In Psalm 9:1, 2, the psalmist expresses his gratitude and praise to God: “I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works. I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High.” Praising God is a way to show our gratitude for all that He does for us. When we are grateful, our hearts are filled with joy, and we want to sing and praise the name of the Lord.
Sometimes we forget to be thankful for the little things, like the ability to read this text, to speak, to move, to breathe. These are amazing blessings! To be grateful is not only to be thankful for the big things, but also for the small ones. Every day we live is a gift from God, full of small wonders, and why not say: full of small miracles. When we begin to notice and give thanks for these blessings, our hearts are filled with joy and gratitude and our response is to praise the Lord. When we count the blessings we have received, we find many reasons to praise God.
