CELEBRATE THE LORD WITH JOY

«Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands….Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.» Psalm 100: 1,2

Smiling is one of the simplest things, but it's the most amazing thing we can do! A smile can transform our day and even the day of the people around us. When we smile, our body releases substances that make us feel good and happy. It's as if every smile is a small gift that we can give to ourselves and others.

In Psalm 100, we are invited to celebrate and praise God with joy: “Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! Serve the Lord with gladness; come before His presence with singing.” As much as we have reason to be sad, smiling and celebrating the Lord with joy can change our state of mind.

Praising God with joy and a smile is a way of remembering that, even in difficult times, God is with us and gives us reasons to be happy. A smile can be a sign of faith and hope, showing that we trust in God and His love for us. Why do this? “For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations.”

Take Action

Try to spend a whole day smiling as much as you can. Smile at your family, your friends and even when you're alone. At the end of the day, write down how you felt about smiling so much. Have you noticed any difference in your mood or the way people reacted to you? Remember, every smile is a reflection of the joy God places in our hearts.
