«My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.» Psalm 121: 2
“Help!” Imagine hearing that scream in the dead of night. What a fright! Sometimes in life, we find ourselves in difficult or scary situations, and our first instinct is to scream for help. But did you know that we have someone always ready to help us? That someone is God!
In Psalm 121, we find a beautiful message of trust and hope. The psalmist begins with a question: “I lift up my eyes to the hills –from whence comes my help?” And he himself answers: “My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.” This shows us that, no matter how big our problem is, we can always count on a God who is more powerful and greater than anything.
The psalm goes on to say that God will not let our foot falter, and that He does not sleep. This means that God is always watching over us, at all times. He is like a guard who never naps, always vigilant to protect us. So, if you are going through a difficult situation and need help, remember to ask God for help. He is always ready to help you!
