ADMONITION AGAINST ADULTERY

«My son, keep thy father's commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother:… Bind them continually upon thine heart, and tie them about thy neck.» Proverbs 6: 20,21

Sometimes in life, some people, like our own parents, may make decisions that are not the best for the family. Yes, parents make mistakes too! That doesn't mean that they don't love their children or that they don't care about them. But like all people, even parents can make mistakes and think differently than their spouse, and that can lead to difficult decisions like separation.

It is important to remember that our parents' love for us is immense, and that even in difficult times, that love does not change. Sometimes families go through difficult times, but care and concern remain. For this reason, the book of Proverbs teaches us to seek wisdom and listen to wise counsel to avoid mistakes that can bring sorrows, such as separation.

And how to keep yourself out of trouble as much as possible? Through fidelity. Faithfulness is the key to keeping families together, even in the most challenging of times. Being faithful means honoring and respecting the people we love, choosing every day to be by their side, to share life and to face difficulties together. As Proverbs advises us, being faithful is not only about avoiding big mistakes. It is also in the small daily choices that we show our commitment and love for our spouse and our family. It's choosing to be present, be honest and work together to overcome obstacles, always remembering that together we are stronger.

Take Action

A wonderful way to reflect on the importance of faithfulness and love in the family is to watch the movie “The Trial by Fire” together. It is a beautiful story that shows how dedication, mutual respect and fidelity can transform relationships and restore love.
