«Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is brutish.» Proverbs 12: 1
Proverbs 12:1 tells us something very interesting: “Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge.” But what does that really mean, especially for someone like you, who is growing and learning every day? Loving education is the best way to be the best version of ourselves.
Imagine that you have a video game that you're a super fan of, but it's really hard. You could give up, right? But instead, you decide to learn, practice a lot, maybe even ask a friend who has already gone through that rough patch for advice. When you finally succeed, the feeling of achievement is incredible! Loving instruction looks like this. It's enjoying learning, even when it's difficult, because you know that every challenge you overcome makes you stronger and wiser. Learning is what will help us get through the most difficult phases of life!
Instruction comes from many places: from God's Word, from our parents, teachers, friends and even from the mistakes we make. Loving instruction means listening to counsel and lessons, thinking about them and applying them to our lives. It's going beyond learning; it's loving what you learn and putting it into practice!
Take Action
Think about a time when you learned something really important, even if it was hard. How did you feel afterwards? Probably proud and happy, right? That's the power of loving instruction. It helps us grow, better understand the world around us and prepare for life's challenges.
