WHO FINDS MERCY?

«He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.» Proverbs 28: 13

Have you ever tried to hide something you did and felt bad about it? Sometimes, when we do something wrong, our first reaction is to try to hide it, afraid of the consequences or of what others will think. But the book of Proverbs teaches us something very important: “He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.”

Confessing our mistakes is not easy. It requires courage and humility. But when we admit our faults and strive to change, something amazing happens: we find mercy. Mercy is when we receive forgiveness and kindness, even if we don't deserve it. It's like taking a huge weight off our shoulders.

God, in his infinite mercy, is always ready to forgive us when we confess our mistakes with a sincere heart. He doesn't want us to carry the burden of guilt and regret. Instead, He wants to see us free, happy and growing more and more every day. Remember, we all make mistakes. The important thing is what we do after we make a mistake. Instead of hiding our mistakes, let's face them, confess them and learn from them.

Take Action

Think of something you did that wasn't right. Something you may have tried to hide or ignore. Discuss it with someone you trust, such as a parent, family member, or close friend. By sharing and confessing, you will be taking an important step toward finding the mercy and relief that comes with forgiveness.
